In response to hail damage in 2021, MIDL worked with NPS and its public adjuster to secure an insurance award allowing the district to replace 31% of its roofing inventory. The new TPO roofing system meets current energy code requirements, provides a 3" hail warranty and includes new fall-rated skylights.

As part of the 2021 hail damage insurance award, NPS was also able to replace $6.6M worth of rooftop HVAC units and energy management control systems across 11 sites in the district. MIDL Architects led this engineering project and provided code analysis where change of system type necessitated code updates.
Norman Public Schools Parking Expansions
This site package in the 2023 bond expanded parking and added concrete basketball courts at Jackson and Lincoln Elementary Schools. It also included crack sealing, asphalt surface coating, restriping, and mill and overlay of existing lots at Kennedy Elementary and the Center for Arts & Learning.
J.D. McCarty Center Skylight Replacement
MIDL Architects is on-call with the State of Oklahoma IDIQ program. We are currently assisting the J.D. McCarty Center for Children in Norman with replacement of their translucent skylight systems across the main facility and group homes.
